Found Hummingbird stuck in the V of my Shepherd’s Hook. It was dangling by it’s neck lifeless just outside my kitchen window. I was sure it was dead. I went out and gently lifted it out of the hook and it attempted to fly away but crash landed. I gently scooped it up and it tried to fly again and again crashed. I brought it inside, placed it inside a box, brought in a feeder, and some fresh flowers etc… It would not eat even when I would place the tip of it’s beak into the feeder. I contacted a local hotline who gave me some instructions. The hummer survived the night. I delivered it to Utopia small animal and small bird rehab. I called a week later and was told that my Hummer only had a muscle injury and was able to fly away after a few days. 😊
