Stopped at the field I have been monitoring periodically this autumn. Was unable to locate any Monarchs nectaring in the field or roosting in the trees where I had observed them before. I am assuming the ones that I spotted on Friday October 6 have left. I was surprised to not locate them as the winds have been very strong from the North-west for the past two days and other Monarchs observed locally at Point Pelee National Park have not left.
