Late morning visit to Point Pelee's sunny east side at the Tip to see last evening's monarchs. Very strong west wind is not favourable for them to continue their journey south. It should be favourable mid week. They were basking in the sunshine in Hackberry & Mulberry trees 35-40' up on southeast side & on grapevines that were lower. Numerous clusters.
Mostly sunny 9°c with very strong WNW wind @ 33/51kmh.
Observations by eye, binoculars, camera & visitors
