Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/11/2023

Number: 2

the speedy trail walker ahead of us maybe 30 yards flushed these two monarchs from apparent nectaring on butterflybush (Buddleja davidii) at 1130 hrs. the bush was in shade at the time - not usually the best part of the day for nectar production? the butterflies quickly disappeared from view behind other shrubbery and against a background of holly trees.
