A light but steady stream of monarchs moving west along the Newcastle waterfront. At least 30 observed in 2h. Many flying high, great day for migration with warm sun and light wind. Tagged 8, only 2 were males. All good condition, all tested for OE and all negative.
Saw one monarch seen with a twisted wing, but it could still fly and I couldn't catch it!
