Saw 100-200 butterflies in various areas of the state park. From 10/11/2023-10/13/2023. Seen near campsite 18 in the trees, roosting & by the river closest to that campsite. There was a lot of milkweed as well. Also many seen on the Gorman Creek trail, they were in trees and feeding on the milkweed. Pretty sure it was a roost/sanctuary as well. Some of the butterflies were large and one had a torn part of the wing so possibly it was at the end of its cycle. But there were also some that were smaller.
