Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/12/2023

Number: 500

On Thursday, we saw a big influx of monarchs in Cape May Point. The goldenrod was in peak bloom on the dunes and almost every plant had a monarch on it. So, my number estimate above is probably low. There were small roosts of 25, 50, 100 ... around the Point but not a one large one, as in years past. Friday morning they were up early and across the Bay.
