There are 5+ caterpillars from second to 4th instar stages. Tropical milkweed (Asclepias curavassica) is lush green in sheltered areas/raised beds near foundation. What is the future of these caterpillars with frost around the corner, is yet to be seen. Last year, we had caterpillars around Thanksgiving when we had a killing freeze. Three butterflies (Mumbo, Jumbo and Rambo) had to be released in the greenhouse. They survived until Jan 2, 2023.
