Sightings report image

Date: 10/19/2023

Number: 2

I had some traveling south monarchs lay some eggs on my milkweed in the end of September in between the 15th and the 25 year 2023. So I raised 10 altogether. 7 of which I lost track of after the fifth in star because they got off of the milk weed. So the last two of them. I raise in doors chrysalis started forming October 1-2. The chrysalis finally open today which is October 19.2023. At approximately 2 PM spent a few hours on my porch, and I had to go to work at 5 o’clock, and when I came home after dark, of course it was gone But as I was leaving for work, it had already dried out and was starting to climb further up to gain flight it was 71 degrees Fahrenheit, most of the day. And I do believe that it gained flight within an hour to an hour and a half before dusk.
