An immature male ruby-throated hummingbird is still here. But I wasn't quick enough with my camera today to get a picture the few times I saw him. So I attached a picture (this is an actual photo) of a different immature male RTHB from about a month ago. I love silhouettes of hummingbirds against the last light of evening sky. The juvie male still here is feeding on black-and-blue salvias, cigar flowers, a pink salvia and insects. He is not curious at all about nectar feeders. I'm getting mildly concerned about this ruby-throat migrating. I know this happens and we've had a few other RTHBs pass thru during the last several days, but it gets me wondering. I last saw the little guy this evening nectaring at a cigar flower at 6:26 p.m. CDT. (Note: He seems to be in good shape and about the size of an adult).
