Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/20/2023

Number: 9

On a cool ,but sunny and breezy Friday , we were surprised to have 9 Monarchs drift into the garden area that is filled with butterfly bushes and wild ageratum.

At first , I spotted two . Then after my husband arrived to watch these two , another three flitted into the space. Within approximately fifteen minutes , the last members of the group joined the others. It was a joy to watch them feed and rest. Watching the Monarchs, slowly and gently spreading their wings while resting and basking in the sun gave me a sense of internal peace.
They remained for almost four hours. Happy Day!
