It was 50F (high temp) and windy. Couldn't move its wings like it needed to to pump fluid. We brought it in and fed it for 4 days until releasing it on a 60F+ and not-windy day. which was 18 Oct. Took 4 hours of crawling out of the bucket we had it in, falling on the ground, being placed on a goldenrod flower (one of the last available here), feeding for 45 mins, and finally taking off, a bit wobbly but wings working, soaring high. The next day was warm and sunny before rains and cold temps again, so I hope it made it!
