We planted 73 bulbs on a warm fall day in Chicago. We are doing a few experiments on our own as well, like seeing what happens if we plant the bulbs upside down or with soap on the bulb. We will be sure to report our bloom time only for the control bulbs, which follow the regular planting procedure.
