Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/29/2023

Number: 1

Right at daylight 7 a.m. I heard a lot of tweeting above me sitting out. I saw the sub adult Rufous's split tail yesterday to determine a male Rufous. Also flying slower in that his weight was heavy. He makes the third fall Rufous migraters here.

He could have left this morning bc I missed seeing nectaring on purple gurantica. Sub adult Seorember/October male Rufous usually move out and don't overwinter with us, unless they come in late November.

However, my friend that lives in the Woodlands suburb emailed me yesterday he has one sub adult male, and one female Rufous still at his place.

We are ready with a warm light source on the kitchen window feeder, and a plexiglass rain baffle for JB feeder. The weather is about to start crashing in a winter mode tonight fast here for a week.
