While trawling, I observed 10 individual monarchs making their way across Barataria Bay. Observed from 1030-noon prior to cold front reaching area. General direction of movement was 172 degrees at ~3MPH. All individuals flying 2-7ft above water. Outliers - One individual observed moving at ~120 degrees and a 2nd individual was observed moving at ~240 degrees. All others general moving south (~172 degrees).
