At 5:30pm it was sunny, 83 degrees F, 67% humidity, with breezes from the SE. I observed 3 individual monarchs flying in our pasture. At least one male, one female, and one I didn't get a photo of, so not sure.
They were all bright with perfect wings. They nectared on flowering milkweed and false garlic flowers. They also were sunbathing at times, catching the sun's rays before sunset.
This is the lovely female as she nectars from the flowers of an Asclepias viridis milkweed.
