Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 11/16/2023

Number: 1

Buff-bellied hummingbird around 2 p.m.going to potted "Amigo" salvia right in front of me sitting while out again. Definitely used to people. It's chilly overcast all day and the Rufous is still not in sight. Buffy now sits looking everywhere about after nectaring off and on sitting in purple gurantica like Rufous did. He's calling another hummingbird in which I can see his throat moving.

My Audubon friend emailed Rufous are used to other agressive sub tropical hummingbirds.

Maybe not on a chilly 60 degree day.
