Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 11/19/2023

Number: 4

I saw four monarch caterpillars today on individual Asclepias viridis milkweed plants. (I had already found two of them yesterday and saw those again today.) Two are 4th instars and two are 3rd instars. The weather is currently mild. At 11:30am it was 69 degrees F, partly cloudy, with 75% humidity, and light breezes from the S/SE.

I also found a few queen butterfly larvae on Asclepias viridis milkweeds and many gulf fritillary larvae on passionflower vines.
