Male Rufous finally nectaring from red porterweed 9 a.m. today. Never can get photo of him in sun just overcast days.
He has stunning metallic orange above his tail on his back. Not a mature feathered adult male Rufous yet. Molting and nectaring from flowers starting at 8 a.m. ahead of rain and cold snap approaching.
He does keep a continuous watch out on same Desert willow tree twig in mornings still.
