Tulips PLANTED
Sightings report image

Date: 11/17/2023

Number: 140

The first grade classes of Eisenhower Elementary in Independence, KS are excited to announce that we have our tulips planted! Each of the students in our seven classes planted, completing them on Friday the 17th.

The weather has been cool, but not cold this week. A few of the days were very windy. We have been experiencing drought conditions, so the soil was pretty dry. We did see a few worms on planting day. One thing we all noticed was the abundance of crickets everywhere!

At this point our garden looks like a miniature graveyard with all the craft sticks marking where our tulips are! We are looking forward to Spring!
