Tropical Milkweed garden. Tropical milkweed has proven highly susceptible to Milkweed Beatles but still a good food source for the Monarch Larva. The Beatles caused enough damage that the garden had to be drastically cut back but still made a full recovery in time for larva to hatch. The Giant Milkweed did much better mitigating Beatle damage. It appears the Beatles favored the tropical milkweed and for the most part left the Giant Milkweed alone.
