Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 12/11/2023

Number: 1

Yesterday after lunch it looks like we have another sub adult Rufous coming in. I'm not putting 2 in 'how many' until I see 2 at same time. If it's here somewhere it could be a young male or female staying way out avoiding the agressive male Rufous.

It has a total green back, more white front with less orange under flanks. Rufous was nectaring from flowers on patio. Flys a whole lot slower than the other male Rufous.

This has taken me by surprise in that the agressive male Rufous isn't chasing it out.

Didn't see new one this morning. Just the same darting more orange on back, very fast male Rufous on patio nectaring from salvias.

Keeping a closer watch when time permits.
