Bald Eagle

Date: 12/11/2023

First time I've ever seen a bald eagle. We were driving towards Tiger Creek and I'm looking at how low the river was and in my view were these trees, baron from winter and I see a huge bird. In my mind,I'm like, " oh a bird, wait a bald eagle!" Then out loud I scream ,"an eagle!" My boyfriend, " a bald eagle," " yes, yes,a bald eagle!" We stopped to get a picture, my boyfriend handed me his phone and we're walking on the side of the road and I get him in sight on the phone and just then he took off. We watched him fly the length of the river up until the curve and he flew up into a tree on a corner on the side of the river. At 55 years old I finally see with my own eyes a bald eagle. This was a healthy looking bird. We would have to say about 40" tall. Just amazing and in awe of this beautiful bird. So glad I could let someone know of this sighting for purposes of good. Thank you.
