Young male Rufous in photo in pre-Pacific storm yesterday as it was light rain then. He sat on the rubythroat hummingbird swing hung under pergola for a brief minute looking around.
Made it thru the night in bad wind gust. Rufous still here this morning in same 27 mph wind gust that will be gusty again all day.
One of the tall purple Gurantica branches below his twig was damaged. He was first sighted at 7 a.m. on his twig today. Tried to nectar from 'Amigo' salvia. Then hovered watching sparrows on a feeder just outside backdoor.
