Briefly saw young male Rufous yesterday chasing a small song bird out. Didn't nectar, sit on twig afterwards. Same today. May be gone to migrate northwards or found another hummingbird to follow out.

Will put in a report if he returns. But glad if he's gone or, that's the case as we are preparing to bring in plants he liked due to artic jet stream to freeze us up, Monday and Tuesday coming week of Jan, 15th


The wind and el Nino weekly rains have been a problem all winter here for plants as well for an overwintering tough young male Rufous. More bad wind days again with frozen precipitation predicted. .
