I had been seeing them nonstop since the summer. They are attracted to my koi pond which had been ice-free except for a few days all fall and winter. Flocks up to a dozen or more will stop by on a daily basis to drink and bathe. We had a similar experience last year but to a lesser degree. This winter has been especially mild.
