I first became aware of several Robins singing high in the treetops early on a Saturday morning. I was lying in bed and could see that it was light but the sun had not yet risen. Perhaps they had sung before, and most certainly they had voiced their individual triumphs or concerns. But this was the first glorious chorus of the season in my neighborhood that I am aware of. Welcome Spring!
