Although this was yesterdays photo at 5 p.m., I saw male Rufous again same spot at 6:44 a.m. still here today's date.
He came around back and went to potted Aimstead purple salvia gurantica at 7:30 a.m. today's date. In fog, here I can see he's getting more buff orange on his stomach. Just can't figure why he's not leaving yet. But my Audubon friend wrote in his column they leave February or March. This Rufous is definitely real young as I have been proclaiming.
We should be seeing male rubythroats within a week after (if) he leaves soon.
