Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 03/10/2024

Number: 1

There were many adult monarchs flying around, but I happen to be standing around several fire ant mounds, and had to get out quickly!
This plant is a Calotropis variety or common milkweed. It can also be called the Crown Flower. It makes very fragrant pink flowers. Several of these plants were stripped already! I saw several “Tropical” milkweed varieties, some had been found and others were still untouched!
