7:33 a.m not enough light at this time to determine species. All I can relay is when one overwintering Rufous leaves another sits in same spot as the one before. I see the same behavior with rubythroats. They sit in same spots of orhers to see who has left or still here. Zoom around a feeder to see as this one did yesterday about 3 p.m.
If this one comes nectaring from salvias I could determine maybe with field glasses. But some are sub adults which is impossible to determine. No chases either. We had a good rain downpour with cold front again last night. In 50's tonight.
