At Peveto Audubon Bird Sanctuary 10:30 - 11:00 am sighted first one male nectaring on dewberry flowers. Appeared faded but otherwise intact. Ten minutes later in a different area sighted two monarchs dancing, one of which dropped out to nectar on a blanket flower. It appeared faded and a bit ragged. The other circled the area in a patrolling manner, never alighting. So we believe these were a female and male, though our photo is not conclusive. Weather was cool and overcast with very occasional sun. We have been told there used to be a large field of viridis adjoining the Sanctuary but no longer there.
