We had 2 females again on our lot today. I thought at first it was the same one but the tear in her hindwing distinguished her from the other. 2 additional monarchs were seen nectaring on thistles in an adjacent field. Beautiful sunny day generated lots of activity today. We're still seeing eggs and small larvae on many plants. Purple verbena and thistles are primary nectar sources here.
