We saw a single monarch on an antelope horn milkweed that was in the midst of a large field of wildflowers. It stayed on the milkweed for some time, and since the field was overflowing with nectar plants, we are assuming it was ovipositing. The butterfly was so far away the best photo we were able to capture was a dark blob on the antelope horn.
