Sightings report image

Date: 04/13/2024

Number: 7

Only saw one or two females around my adult Milkweed that I protected over the winter freezes. Did not think there were any cats since I kept checking. Then on April 9th, I saw about 8 cats munching away. I brought them into my enclosure. I put the last of my healthy Milkweed cutting into the enclosure. So far as or today, I have 3 chrysalis and 4 others j-aying. Hopefully I got them in before any parasites got them. The young children that my wife teaches piano to are amazed at seeing them. In the past, once they hatch, we have the kids release. This was the first year in almost 45 years that this was the "lease" sightings of adult females! Still handing out seedlings and seeds to neighbors.
