A bud on this second year milkweed plant first emerged on April 10, 2024; however, a cool week paused its growth, so I delayed submission to ensure it was healthy. On April 14th, after several cool, rainy days, the temperature warmed to 14 degrees Celsius, and a second bud emerged, so we should be ready early for the arrival of the Monarchs.
