Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/17/2024

Number: 0

My very first sighting. Extremely tiny Hummer. Looked like a female. I have protective coverings on my windows where I hang hummingbird feeders. I can see out but no one see into home, Unfortunately, cannot take good pictures without the window appearing like a screen. Over 10 years ago I installed Collidescape from collidescape.org, which covers all of my windows where I feed birds.

My yard is in a forest and is Audubon registered as a bird & pollinator sanctuary.I am in the wetlands far across from Pymatuning State Park.
The one hanging feeder is proactively placed between 2 hanging pots, one an impatience plant the other a fuchsia. Just put these out April 16th. Have ben putting other feeders out in various places since April 9th. So happy for their arrival!
