Caught a glimpse of a brightly colored male in the dogwood tree outside my office window around 3 pm Friday April 19th. This is the second year they have arrived this early and before our hummingbirds. I quickly got my feeder out to its normal location. By the end of the day, the grape jelly had lots of bite marks out of it. I saw the same male several times the next day.
