Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/28/2024

Number: 1

Sunday afternoon April 28 , he flew up to the copper baffled porch feeder which was up but not filled yet waiting on first sighting. Made a quick quart batch. Saw this male Rufus red throated hummingbird again tonight on the green baffled feeder. Must be a return from last season, after sipping and I whistled, he flew up to a tree that had a feeder last year. It got busted in a prior storm. But he remembered it's location. He then zipped down the hill to the pink baffled feeder. I'm sure he will find the green one if he hasn't already visited. So sweet. Always a joy to have them.
