Around noon it was 68 degrees F, sunny, with 42% humidity, and breezes from the SE. I saw one monarch flying around in the upper pasture and then found this male monarch in another meadow full of blooming prairie plantains. He has faded and tattery-edged wings. It was good to see him active and enjoying the nectar from these tiny golden flowers of the tall plantains.
