Saw my first monarch (reported) and it was a female and she appeared to be laying eggs on my plants. I found 2 on swamp milkweed plants and one on a common milkweed plant. I have lots of plants and she was flying around the vicinity of many. She also alit on a concord grape flower that I saw.
