First sighting of perennial milkweed seed germination. Seedlings are popping up in numerous locations throughout my yard, plus healthy spread through the roots, so I anticipate my milkweed gardens to quadruple in size in 2024. The weather in Southern Ontario has been holding at 20 degrees Celsius daytime temperature or better, so I have planted several annual milkweed plants outdoors as well, and they are flourishing.
