Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/05/2024

Number: 1

Having just seen a monarch two days ago, I decided to check my recently emerged common milkweed plants, and lo and behold, there was a precious egg on one stalk!! I didn’t look for others because it was raining, but so happy to see one, especially this early! Last year was a very sad year for us with no eggs or cats spotted, and very few adult monarchs either.
