The hummingbird was looking for the orange slices I had just removed. I was in the process of replacing the consumed orange slices with fresh halves when the hummingbird landed on the feeder. When I replaced the orange slices the male immediately returned but was chased by another male hummingbird. Their dispute ended when one male stayed at the orange slices and the other at my oriole nectar feeder 10 feet away.
