Female monarchs have arrived and were very busy laying eggs, at 45N latitude in MN, within the last two days. Usually our first generation are laid on plants in a small area of our yard. This year, they laid eggs on plants all around the yard. So many eggs. All were laid on the bottom of the leaf. One leaf had two eggs, while all others had 1 egg. Many plants had multiple eggs (not recorded).
