Milkweed Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 05/04/2024

This is a photo of a few Asclepias viridis native milkweed plants that are now in the seed pod stage. Most of the rest of the milkweed is starting to produce seed pods as well. We had just had 5.5 inches of rain in the last two days along with strong thunderstorms ~ but these milkweed plants are standing tall amidst the blown grasses around them. There are also fresh emerging milkweed plants, as well as some in the flowering stage, and some producing both blooms and seed pods on branching stems.
