Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/04/2024

Number: 13

These eggs seen like the largest, creamiest, fresh eggs I have ever spotted. There was no question in my mind that they were monarch eggs.

Last year I found my first eggs June 9th so we are about 5 days ahead of last year.

We also watched the monarch flitting about on the milkweed ovipositing so we knew where to look for eggs. I checked only a small fraction of milkweed in our backyard. I spotted several on narrow leaf and showy milkweed.
