Black swallowtail observed on common milkweed in a patch in our neighborhood 06/05/2024.
Patch was originally observed in November 2021. Patch contains 300+ common milkweed plants on lot currently for sale and at risk of being developed for a house lot. Patch is being maintained by weeding of invasive Japanese stiltgrass, killing milkweed beetle by hand, with staking of of some plants.
