Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/27/2024

Number: 1

We received over an inch of rain overnight and early morning. Went to check on the pollinator garden. My Butterfly Weed Milkweed is not too big yet, but one plant had the top broken off. I picked it up and there was an egg on the leaf. I took the broken leaf in so that this egg has a chance and I can raise a healthy Monarch. Yesterday was my first sighting of a Monarch. Now this is the first egg of the season.
