Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 06/18/2024

Number: 3

After a rainy night, I was able to locate the J first thing this morning before I headed out to work. The two larvae were resting on the under side of some Milkweed leaves on separate plants. One had two drops of water on him from last night. When I came home from work this afternoon, the J had formed his chrysalis. I was only able to locate one larva this evening. I did locate frass on two separate plants. Another thunderstorm rolled in after another very hot and humid day. Yesterday we broke a temperature record: 34.6°C. Today seemed even hotter so we may have a new record again.
(My count includes the chrysalis.)
