At 5:45 pm, I identified a male Calliope Hummingbird feeding on my native pentstemons... Penstemon eatonii and Penstemon grandiflorus. We are supposed to have 3 seasonal species of hummingbirds in the region but I don't see then in town. They are abundant out of town. They are Calliope, Broad-tailed, and Rufous.
